Foursquare Fidelitas Barbados Single Blended Rum 20 Y.O. 2004

Fidelitas is the name of the new release signed Foursquare, the tenth stage of a now historic partnership between Luca Gargano and Richard Seale, mind and hand of Foursquare Distillery, in Barbados. A collaboration born in 2016 and built on a common vision of transparency, authenticity and quality in the world of rum. The intellectual and philosophical harmony born from this encounter has led to a series of co-bottlings that have been inaugurated since Foursquare 2006 and that have helped to consolidate the distillery's reputation.

The result, once again, is a single blended rum with a strong character. The cuvée is composed of rums distilled in 2004 in double retort copper pot stills and column Coffey stills, a typical Foursquare stylistic feature.

After distillation, the rums mature in a tropical climate for a total of 20 years: 19 years in ex-Bourbon casks plus 1 year of ageing in ex-Marsala casks, which add a softer, more enveloping final touch to the profile. This is the oldest Foursquare ever released.

Produced in a limited edition and bottled barrel proof at 55°, Foursquare Fidelitas is a rum that does not need special effects to stand out, but only the time, patience and work of those who created it.

Fidelitas was bottled in February 2024 at cask grade.

Nose: Rich aromas of toasted dried fruit, hazelnut and almond, with sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla.

Palate: Soft and well-balanced, with notes of toasted coconut, fine woods, and a light hint of tonka bean.

Finish:Long, spicy, and indulgent, with traces of black pepper, nutmeg, and a warm note reminiscent of baked pastry.
