Springbank 21YO 46% Release 2024

The Springbank distillery is part of Campbeltown's history, but more importantly, it is one of the few survivors of the Campbeltown whiskey crisis, and it is still one of Scotland's most traditional distilleries today. From the malting of the barley laid out on the malting floor to the bottling of the whisky, everything at Springbank is done in-house. The workers handcraft the entire process; there is no computer in the plant.
The Springbank 21 Years Old fully echoes the fantastic style of the 1980s and 1990s; it was first released in 1995 and we are now on the 2024 24/164 Batch Release, This release is made exclusively from 65% Ex Port, 25% Ex Bourbon, 5% Ex Rum, 5% Ex Sherry Casks bottled at 46% (natural grade), Non-chill filtered and with no added coloring.

Nose: Notes of caramel, heather, cereals, cinnamon, plums, and red fruits, with hints of beeswax, honey, and leather.
Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, oily, with notes of blackcurrant, cinnamon, caramelized almonds, and vanilla, with hints of oak, pepper, and beeswax.
Finish: Long-lasting, creamy, with notes of anise, green grass, red grapes, and red fruits, with hints of honey and ginger.
