Springbank 11YO Local Barley Release 2022

Springbank's Local Barley series is made from barley harvested exclusively in the Kintyre region, where the distillery is located. For this release, the barley comes from Glencraig Farm, located 3 kilometers northeast of Campbeltown, and is of the Belgravian variety. The Springbank 10 Years Old Local Barley Sherry Cask is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky that was distilled in 2010 with Belgravian barley and aged for at least 11 years in 55% Ex-Sherry, 35% Ex-Bourbon and 10% Ex-Rum casks before being bottled at its natural degree of 55.1% vol. in a total of 15.500 bottles.

Nose: Delicate, wrapped in a rich custard, tropical notes, apple pie, and salted caramel.
Taste: Rich and full-bodied, malt notes, mixed fruits, honey and vanilla, decadent caramel, and the distinctive presence of rowan berries.
Finish: Medium, unfolding with enduring richness and maltiness with smoky notes, maintaining a consistent bitter edge, a touch of passion fruit, and vanilla.
