Springbank Distillery is one of Campbeltown's distilleries. Founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, it is one of only two historic distilleries that remain in Campbeltown after the collapse of over 15 distilleries in and around the city in the early 1900s. Longrow Peated is a high peat single malt Scotch whisky produced only during a limited time of year by Springbank. This single distilled malt takes its name from a now-closed historic distillery in Campbeltown. It is the distillery's oldest release and is matured in a refill-sherry butt, bottled at the full proof of 46%: obviously not artificially colored or cold filtered.
