Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Cask Strength
Color: golden yellow.
Aroma: An earthy peat smoke welcomes us on the nose, followed by notes of burnt caramel, apple, cloves with hints of orange and some soot.
Taste: On the palate the peat continues to accompany us, under its blanket we have notes of citrus, grilled pineapple, licorice and caramel with a slight hint of lavender.
Finish: Long-lasting, smoky, with notes of burnt grass, toasted malt and a pinch of salt.

Behind the Teeling distillery lies an area known as Blackpitts, which was formerly the industrial heart of Dublin and had housed some of the city's largest malthouses. Of course, peat was extensively employed for malting barley, and Blackpitts was also noted for its characteristic "aroma," the typical smokey flavour that is this Teeling's hallmark.
Teeling Blackpitts Big Smoke Cask Strength is a double distilled peated single malt Irish whiskey that was matured completely in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled full grade 56.5% vol in a total of 8,400 bottles.
