With elements of cooked vanilla, pastry, cooked white peach, and pineapple, the nose is fragrant, round, and enveloping. The taste is fresh, fruity, and vanilla, with lovely flavours of crushed red fruits, coffee, and molasses-covered almonds, for a sweet finish that oscillates between spicy fruit and sweet coffee.
Description
Saint Aubin, in the south of Mauritius, produces the island's sole agricultural rums, or rums distilled straight from sugar cane juice. The cuvée Grande Reserve Isle de France 2005 was carefully selected from among the greatest Saint Aubin rums, some still and some with copper column. A combination of aged rums with a deep, powerful scent.
