Description
The Arran Single Malt used for this cask strength expression was first aged in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels before being moved for secondary ageing into smaller Quarter barrels made of the finest American wood. The procedure of shifting the whiskey into the smaller 125-litre barrels results in significantly more contact between the whiskey and the wood, as well as a faster and more intense maturation. The result is a full-bodied Arran Single Malt that combines strength and refinement, with rich vanilla richness and robust peppery spice.
