Springbank Distillery is one of Campbeltown's distilleries. Founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, it is one of only two historic distilleries that remain in Campbeltown after the collapse of over 15 distilleries in and around the city in the early 1900s. Longrow 23 Years Old is a high peat single malt Scotch whisky produced only during a limited time of year by Springbank. This double distilled malt takes its name from a now-closed historic distillery in Campbeltown. It is the distillery's oldest release and is matured in a refill-sherry butt, it is a limited edition of only 546 bottles, bottled at the full proof of 58.1%: obviously not artificially colored or cold filtered.
