Lochlea Single Malt 'Sowing Eedition - 1ST Crop'
The aroma is vanilla, biscuity notes, slowly opening, bringing peach and white grapes to the fore. The palate is vibrant and slightly citrusy, with green apple and orange, balanced by buttery malt and a touch of toasted nut. The finish is lingering, with a honeyed sweetness.
The "Sowing Edition" is Lochlea Farm Distillery's second official release from the south of Scotland. It is the first in an annual series of limited "seasonal" bottlings, respecting the time constraints imposed by the cultivation of the land. The Sowing Edition is inspired by spring, when everything comes alive on the farm and seeds are planted for the annual barley. You can expect notes of creamy vanilla, sweet grains, crisp green apples and pears. The Sowing Edition is made from 100% first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels and bottled at 48% alcohol, with no cold filtering or color addition.
