Kilchoman Sanaig
The aroma is of soft baked fruit, with lots of caramel and vanilla. The palate has toffee, peat smoke and citrus with lingering sweetness. The finish offers a pleasant balance of peat, fruit and sweetness.
Kilchoman Sanaig is a blend of 70% single malt aged in ex-Sherry Oloroso casks and 30% single malt aged in ex-Bourbon casks. The Oloroso casks contribute significantly to the depth and color of this whiskey, distinguishing it from Machir Bay. To put it simply, Kilchoman Sanaig is a continuation of the classic Kilchoman style with a sherry soul. Sanaig takes its name from a rocky cove near the distillery. Bottled at 46% alcohol, it has not been cold filtered and contains no additives or colorants. Silver medal winner at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
