Glenfiddich 18 Y.O.
Glenfiddich 18 Y.O. has intense notes of baked apple and wood with a palate reminiscent of dates, as well as candied citrus peel. It is a great tasting bottle neat, or with the addition of an ice cube. Also excellent as a base for cocktails such as Rob Roy, paired with Lustau red Vermouth.
Glenfiddich 18 Y.O. is distilled in two differently shaped stills. Because of the difference in the shape of the still's neck, two different expressions are obtained, which are then combined to give rise to Glenfiddich's distinctive taste. New Make is reduced to 63.5% alcohol in American oak and ex-sherry casks, using water from the Robbie Dhu spring. It is aged for a minimum of 18 years and bottled after the malt master, Brian Kinsman, carefully selects the best barrels.
