Kilchoman 100% Islay 14YO Bourbon Cask 20th Anniversary Edition 51,2%

Only 20 casks were selected to celebrate 20 years of Kilchoman. The 20th Anniversary Cask Series therefore includes four single malts: two 14-year-olds, one 15-year-old and one 18-year-old, for which a total of 20 casks were used, with 5 casks for each release.

The Kilchoman 14 Years Old Bourbon Cask 20th Anniversary Edition 51.2% is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2010 and matured exclusively in just 5 ex-bourbon casks before being bottled at cask strength (51.2% ABV), non-chill filtered and with its natural colour, for a total of 1,120 bottles.

Nose: elegant and clean peat, lemon, green apple and pear, with vanilla, honey, sweet malt and light notes of coconut and sea breeze.
Palate: full and creamy, with soft peat, fresh citrus, vanilla, sweet malt and honey, followed by notes of biscuit, white pepper and a light saline touch.
Finish: long and harmonious, delicately smoky, with returning notes of vanilla, citrus, sweet malt and a persistent maritime character.
