Springbank 18YO Cask Strength 46% Release 2024

The Springbank distillery is part of Campbeltown's history, but more importantly, it is one of the few survivors of the Campbeltown whiskey crisis, and it is still one of Scotland's most traditional distilleries today. From the malting of the barley laid out on the malting floor to the bottling of the whisky, everything at Springbank is done in-house. The workers handcraft the entire process; there is no computer in the plant.
Springbank 18 Years Old Cask Strength was first released in 2009 (batch #1), and we are now on the 2024 release of a product that continues to improve year after year. This release is made exclusively from 100% Ex-Bourbon Casks bottled at 46% (natural grade), Non-chill filtered and with no added coloring.

Nose: The nose opens with coastal aromas of light sea peat followed by bright citrus and red apple, with subtle hints of tobacco and a touch of sulfur.
Palate: Smooth and slightly oily, the peat becomes more pronounced, complemented by flavors of citrus, vanilla, sulfur, and tobacco.
Finish: A long finish reveals notes of cocoa, licorice root, red apple, and vanilla, alongside delicate hints of red fruit and sea peat.
