Springbank 18YO Cask Strength 46% Release 2019

The Springbank distillery is part of Campbeltown's history, but more importantly, it is one of the few survivors of the Campbeltown whiskey crisis, and it is still one of Scotland's most traditional distilleries today. From the malting of the barley laid out on the malting floor to the bottling of the whisky, everything at Springbank is done in-house. The workers handcraft the entire process; there is no computer in the plant.
Springbank 18 Years Old Cask Strength was first released in 2009 (batch #1), and we are now on the 2019 release of a product that continues to improve year after year. This release is made exclusively from 88% Ex-Sherry Cask and 12% Ex-Port Casks bottled at 46% (natural grade), Non-chill filtered and with no added coloring.

Nose: Smoky peat with mineral and citrus hints, alongside delicate white fruit.
Palate: Ripe fruit balanced with spicy ginger notes and a subtle touch of vanilla.
Finish: Classic Springbank character shines through, with a coastal breeze, gentle peat, and earthy undertones.
