Longrow Red Peated 13YO 51,6% 2020

Springbank Distillery is one of Campbeltown's distilleries. Founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, it is one of only two historic distilleries that remain in Campbeltown after the collapse of over 15 distilleries in and around the city in the early 1900s. Longrow 21 Years Old is a high peat single malt Scotch whisky produced only during a limited time of year by Springbank. This double distilled malt takes its name from a now-closed historic distillery in Campbeltown. It is the distillery's oldest release and is matured in a refill-sherry butt, This 13-year-old Single Malt from Springbank has been bottled at 51.6% ABV. It matured for 10 years in a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks, followed by an additional 3 years in Cabernet Sauvignon casks from the prestigious Intriga estate of MontGras, located in Alto Maipo at the foothills of the Andes in Chile.

Nose: Rhubarb and custard, red fruits, ginger, hints of citrus, vanilla, and maritime notes.
Palate: Smoky note, with red fruits and sweet and salty touches gradually emerging; pleasantly intense. Barley water, berries, red apples, peat, and cheese.
Finish: Becomes fairly dry, with coastal notes and expanding peat smoke.
