Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 7 Release 2022 - Bourbon & Sherry Cask 59,1%

The Single Malt Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 7 is the sixth release produced by the historic Glengyle distillery, reopened in 2004 after decades and distributed by the Kilkerran brand. It is a whiskey characterized by a high level of peat, around 80ppm, quite different from the others from the distillery. Aging takes place in ex-bourbon and partly ex-Sherry barrels. Bottled at full strength, without cold filtration.

Nose: Peat smoke with hints of sea salt and brine, complemented by notes of honey and orange zest.
Palate: Slightly spicy with notes of dried fruit, citrus, and wax.
Finish: Good persistence with notes of embers and dried fruit.
