Kilkerran Cask Strength 8 Y.O. Batch 7 - Port Cask 57,9% (Release 2022)

Founded in Campbeltown in 1872, the distillery remained in operation until 1925, when all malt Whiskey stocks were sold and all equipment was removed. The remaining buildings, however, were purchased in 2000 by Hedley Wright, owner of Springbank Distillery and a descendant of William Mitchell, who remodeled and reopened Glengyle Distillery in 2004.
Kilkerran Cask Strength 8 Years Old Port Cask is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky aged for at least 8 years in Port casks and bottled at cask strength at 57.9% vol. without being cold filtered or colored.

Palate: Spicy and pleasant, with notes of grape and fruit jam.
Nose: Fresh, with aromas of dark fruit, strawberries, and malt. Slightly earthy.
Finish: Medium in length, with earthy notes and forest fruits.
