I had met him in person by chance back in 1996, when I was still simply the representative of Ser Jacopo, and Giancarlo had sent me to a slow smoking contest, in Basel in Switzerland, and from there our friendship was born... in Switzerland, strange, because I too was born in Switzerland in Uznach... destiny…coincidence...

And from that day, I began to appreciate that character, but not so much for his artistic vein, but mostly, for his way of being, and of living life, always carefree, always happy and always smiling whatever happened., and with an infinite number of hobbies, including fishing, grappa and salami...

So in 2000, when I founded my company Arcadia, in addition to the pipes of Ser Jacopo and L'Anatra, I asked Luigi for his willingness to be able to sell his pipes around the world as well, and from there our collaboration was born...

In all these years, we have shared many joys and sorrows dictated by the market, and we have traveled a lot together: United States, China, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Russia, Austria, Swi-tzerland, Poland and Hungary, selling our products and having a lot of fun, and it can be said that I specialized in remembering our stores and he remembering all the best restaurants in all the cities we had been to.

After my acquisition of Ser Jacopo in 2008, we promised ourselves, that one day we would make a box with two pipes, dedicating it to friendship, we finally did it, changing the name, because after a lasting mutual feeling of affection and friendship, many adventures and stories to tell, we feel like saying that we are like brothers.
